Rare Cheetah brand 7.62x39 ammunition made in 1997 by Zimbabwe Defence Industries (ZDI) and imported to the United States by Vector Arms. This ammunition is exceedingly rare and was produced in Zimbabwe under the rule of Robert Mugabe. The tooling for this ammunition was allegedly bought from the Chinese so that Zimbabwe could manufacture their own ammunition. This ammo is brass cased, non corrosive, and has a copper jacketed lead core 123 grain projectile. Cheetah ammunition is regarded as high quality, accurate, and consistent ammunition. Very limited quantity available. PLEASE NOTE: the Brand "Military Surplus" shown in this listing is only for ammo aggregate site listing purposes, this ammunition is not surplus.

Cheetah
Picked up this hard to find ammo. Communication was great, packaging was well done and box and rounds look almost brand new. Mine had 97 on the head stamp. Great collection piece.

Consistent and good velocity
Obviously not plinking ammo but great to have around as a conversation piece. I shot 10 of them to chrono and was quite pleased with the results. One of the most consistent types of x39 I have tested (various Wolf, GT, mil-surp, Norma, New Rep, Arsenal) with spec velocity. Highly recommend picking up a box if you collect hard-to-find/odd ammo.
