This Yugoslavian M48BO Mauser is a variant of the M48A that was meant for export and therefore lacks the crest on the receiver. The "BO" means "bez oznake" or "without markings". It is believed (but not confirmed) that this particular rifle was from a batch meant for Egypt. This rifle is in excellent condition, all serial numbers match, and it has a mint bore. For those who have never shot a Yugo Mauser, they are every bit as smooth and accurate as a K98 without having to pay K98 prices. This rifle is C&R eligible!
